Who are we
Be A Mensch is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization that operates at the intersection of education, dialogue, and character formation.
We are facilitators, educators, and conveners who believe that social cohesion is built not through slogans or coercion, but through direct human encounter guided by respect and responsibility.
Our work is grounded in the conviction that how people speak to one another—and how they listen—shapes the moral health of a society.
Our Vision
Be A Mensch is an organization dedicated to bringing Israeli society together by strengthening the values that make personal and collective life possible: responsibility, integrity, and mutual respect.
We provide a respectful and supportive setting in which people can explore difficult and uncomfortable questions — not in order to win arguments, but to understand one another. When these questions are approached honestly and thoughtfully, they become a source of connection rather than division.
Working with partners across Israel’s social, political, and religious spectrum, we reach diverse communities through programs designed to foster dialogue, understanding, and shared responsibility.
Our Goal
Be A Mensch works to reduce alienation and mistrust within Israeli society by creating meaningful encounters between people who rarely meet and often misunderstand one another.
Our goal is to enable individuals from different social, political, and religious communities to engage one another with honesty, dignity, and responsibility—so that disagreement does not become estrangement, and difference does not lead to division.
This work takes place through structured dialogue programs with universities, high schools, scouting groups (HaTzofim), military officers, and C-suite executives. We partner with organizations across Israel’s social spectrum.
